Tamil Nadu has the maximum NEET seats around 11225 followed by Karnataka and UP with 11020 and 9253 seats respectively. Out of these, the 15% quota seats in NEET are allotted by MCC while the remaining 85% state seats are allotted by the respective state authorities through NEET Counselling.
Stray Vacancy round is conducted after all the Rounds of Counselling including the Mop Up round are completed. Each College will have its own Stray Vacancy round and so the list will be separate. The DGHS will release Candidates list atleast 10 times of the no.of seats available and send it to the respective Colleges. For example, if there are 10 seats available, the DGHS will send atleast 100 Candidates names to the College. And all these seats are filled offline based on merit and preference. Now at this point in time as the Mop Up Round is yet to be completed, the vacant seats are yet unknown. This will be known after the Mop Up round is over and the joining date has been over. So we would request you to wait until then. Meanwhile keep an eye on the official website.
