Now being very honest, if you can afford, doing psychology from abroad gives you better benefits because there are more job opportunities outside India. Despite coming so far in life, Mental Health is still not taken seriously in India. If you are ready to stay here and change that mentality, you are most welcome. But if you want to go for a secure job placement, or a successfull private practice, studying abroad, if you can afford, is the better option. Students do get placements here too but its rare to get placed in hospitals or institutions. Mostly you get placed in colleges as professors.
A list of Top Universities abroad is:
Harvard University
Stanford University
University of cambridge
University of oxford
University of California, Berkeley (UCB)
University of California, LA (UCLA)
Yale University.
These are the most prestigious universities with very low acceptance rate from 4-7% to 10%. So they require heavy hardwork and a great application.
But there are many more universities that you can opt for :
University of British Columbia
Mcgill university
University of Toronto
University Of Waterloo
are the Most high ranked Universities of canada.
In the end, the decision depends on you and your personal research.
Please comment if you want mon help !
Hope this helped. good luck for your future!
