Where i get information about CSIR.NEt exam? N what are career opportunities from csir.net?

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts the NET exam on the bi-yearly basis for those who want to make their career in Research and Lectureship field.

Candidates having or pursuing their Master’s degree in Science Stream are only eligible to takeexam.

They should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in Masters’ if they are from General/ OBC Category or if they belong to SC/ST/PwD categories they should have scored minimum 50% aggregate.

To apply for the CSIR NET exam candidate’s maximum age should be 28 years. SC/ST/OBC/PWD/female applicants have up to 5 years relaxation in age criteria.

Here are some career options which are open for you after qualifying CSIR NET exam.

For Assistant Professor, there is no upper age limit to apply.

Go for Ph.D. from any of the prestigious Indian Scientific Research Institutions.

Become an Assistant Professor or Lecturer in any UGC Approved Universities.

Join DRDO Labs to perform research and other scientific activities

Get a Doctorate Degree.

Get a Job in PSUs such as ISRO, IGCAR, TIFR, IISc etc.

Apply for the Government Jobs.
