Thank you
Hi
As per your question Nuclear Physics deals with study of the structure of matter at the atomic level. It
also deals with the study of interactions of the atom molecules and therefore the building blocks. the
topic is especially applied in atomic power generation and nuclear weapons technology.
Some of the known courses are Doctoral degree in engineering and Technology, Research programs in
particle collision and high energy collisions, Master of Science in atomic physics , etc.
Eligibility Criteria
For pursing a bachelor degree in atomic physics , the candidates need to complete their 12th (Science)
from a recognised institution. The qualification criteria for doing masters degree within the atomic
physics may be a pass in graduation from a recognised university. The aspirants must have done their
bachelors degree in any of the science subjects. To pursue any doctoral program, the candidates need to
complete their master’s degree in atomic physics from any recognised university. Some colleges may
conduct entrance exams for Ph.D admission. So, the aspirants should score alright in their post
graduation.
Institutes that provide atomic physics courses
There are an honest number of leading institutes in India offering a course in atomic physics . a number
of them are listed below.
Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR)
Berhampur University
Karnataka University
Saha Institute of atomic physics
Institute of Physics (IOP)
Government of India’s National Centre for Nuclear Science and arithmetic
IIT Kanpur
Manonmaniam Sundaranar University
Andhra University
B.Sc Nuclear Science is a 3 year programme that deals with hi tech study of nuclear science. The courses imparts enough knowledge on nuclear materials and nuclear weapons and gives the knowledge of practical uses of nuclear materials, reuses of nuclear wastes, prevention of unwanted harmful nuclear radiation from nuclear elements, dumping procedure of nuclear wastes, etc. For being eligible for this course, you should have completed your 12th from any recognised University with Physics as one of the core subjects. Colleges that come under Calcutta University and Delhi University and Jadavpur University offer B.Sc Nuclear Science. Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics has Undergraduate Associateship in Physics and Bio Physical Science and you should check that at: http://www.saha.ac.in/web/education/course-programmes-undergraduate-associateship
