Hi Shaifali,

Yes, it is more than enough but it depends on how much efforts you put in these 8 months. You need to devote 6-8 hours self study everyday.

Thank you and best of luck.

Here is a suggested schedule:

1) You still have some time to study and prepare, so first I would suggest you start with deciding if you want to join a coaching class. I would highly recommend coaching as they offer a lot of guidance, good teaching and practice (mocks). If you have any doubts during your preparation, they are always there to help. So you should start thinking about which coaching class you want to join for one year. They give their own notes also, so it will save you a lot of time and trouble.

2) If you do not want to join coaching, buy the right books to study from. Use the standard textbooks, especially NCERT books - these are the most important books you'll need to study from. Here is a list of commonly used good textbooks for NEET:

From the other books, HC Verma is good for Physics, OP Tandon for Chemistry and Trueman for Biology. Pradeep Publications for all subjects is good as well. But definitely buy the NCERT books for all subjects.

3) Focus your next 3-4months on reading the portion from the textbooks, understanding concepts, making notes. By December you should have thoroughly the textbooks and solved some practice question given in the textbook. At the same time, start going through some NEET past papers to get an idea of how the paper pattern is and the way they ask questions.

4) In December, start solving NEET past papers non-stop. When you get questions wrong, solve them again - especially physics and chemistry problems). This will help you understand which are your weaker areas. Go back and revise your weak topics from textbooks and notes.

5) Continue solving papers for 2-3 months, and at the same time, keep revising from your notes and textbooks. Register for NEET 2019 and go over the rules and regulations for the exam.

6) During your final 1-2 months (March-April) continue solving past papers and practice questions. By now you should be good in your weaker areas and should be able to answer most questions correctly. While soving papers, time yourself for 3 hours so that it feels like you are solving the actual exam.

7) On the day before the exam, try to keep calm and just sit with your books and read whatever you can. Remember how much you have studied and be calm.

While this is the plan I can suggest to you, it is upto you to decide how you want to prepare based on your study methods. Keep working hard and stay consistent. Take well-deserved breaks and do not get distracted. It is possible to get good marks, but you have to work very hard as you have limited t

Hello Shaifali,

Its totally depends fron person to person because students prepare for neet exam when they prepare for there 12th class exam. And some people take drop of one year or more fpr prepration.

Well apart from this when you have 8 month of time than you can definetly prepare very well, for that start your prepration with clearing your concepts, than go for last 5 years papers and solve them for understanding patter of exam. Also do last time revision before exam.

All the best. Hope this will help you.

For avoiding social media there is only one way that is to uninstall all the apps for particular time being, except whatsapp because sometime we get some important news. Thats how i think that we can focus on studies.
