Hi Prasanna,

Yes, the Income Certificate is a necessary document at the time of application but only in the cases where it is needed.

Income certificates are requested by the college to look into the applicant's economic background for offering fee concessions/ scholarships or any another benefit as may be deemed fit by it.  Therefore, according to my knowledge it is mostly required of only those students who are looking for fee waivers or any other benefit as I mentioned above.

In any case, if you have it, then you should keep it handy. And if you do not have it then you can get it from your concerned village office.

Mam if our annual income is less than 4 lakhs will my ward be denied from admissions to private colleges in kerala where the fee is more than 6 lakhs per annum by stating that our income as per the income certificate is less than the fees even if we are ready to pay it by any means.

Hello aspirant,



I think you meant what are the documents required for applying for KEAM.

For applying KEAM 2019,



You have to upload the following in the portal at the time of registration



1. Photo



2.Signature,



3.Nativity proof from village office /birth certificate/SSLC certificate(place of birth must be there in SSLC certificate, if you choose it).



4.Income certificate(can be the obtained from Akshaya)



For general candidate, the above mentioned are compulsory for applying.If your income is lower, you will get scholarship, income certificate is required for this purpose.
