UGC NET paper 1 contain questions of general aptitude. You can prefer Trueman's books for solving questions related to general aptitude. Along with this, you can also solve Reasoning and teaching aptitude questions from Arihant publication books as well as KVS Madaan. Also, you can solve previous year  papers from McGraw Hill education.

Hope it helps!

Hello Avni,

There are various books available in the market for Paper 1. Amongst which KVS Maadan is the best.
Books from Arihant and Trueman are also nice.
But apart from all this, I will suggest you make your own notes for each topic and then solve at least 10 previous years paper. This will give you an idea where you stand and what kind of questions they ask in the exam.
Accordingly, prepare your study plan and refer many youtube videos for the mock tests and keep brushing your basics.
Practicing as many questions as you can is the only best way to crack the exam I believe.

Hope this helps.
Good Luck!

Important books for Paper 1 of UGC NET is given below:

  • UGC NET/JRF/SLET General Paper-1: Teaching & Research Aptitude Paperback by Arihant Experts.
  • CBSE UGC NET/SET/JRF - Paper 1: Teaching and Research Aptitude Paperback by KVS Madaan.
  • Trueman's UGC NET Paper1

However, if you check the review of books it would be KVS Madaan Book is best for paper 1.Both in terms of syllabus coverage and the no of topics covered in the book.

Trueman is the best series of Books available for NET exams but they were not updated for the last couple of years and doesn't solve the purpose of recent changes.

You can read more about the review of Book Here by Sanjay Mishra SIr- https://ugcnetpaper1.com/recommended-books-ugc-net-exam

In my recommendation, you should read at least two books...1 is KVS and another is Arihant to cover all the syllabus content.

Thanks
