Which are the best collages in kerala for bsc agriculture
good morning mufeeda!!
Kerala has one state agriculture university, i.e. Kerala Agricultural University (KAU), which was established in 1972 at Vellanikkara, Thrissur town. There are the following 3 government constituent colleges functioning under the Kerala Agricultural Univerity. There are no private agriculture colleges in Kerala.
College of Agriculture, Vellayani, Thiruvananthapuram (or Trivandrum) (Estd: 1955, No. of seats for BSc (Agriculture)-75)
College of Horticulture, Vellanikkara, Thrissur (Estd: 1972, No. of seats for BSc (Agriculture)-75)
College of Agriculture, Padannakkad, Kasaragod (Estd: 1994, No. of seats for BSc (Agriculture)-50)
There are total 200 seats for BSc Agriculture in the entire Kerala state under the above 3 government agriculture colleges. Out of this 200, 30 seats (15%) are filled with the ICAR AIEEA (UG) qualified candidates from all over India and the balance seats are filled with the students from Kerala. There are no NRI/Management/Self Finance seats and absolutely no chance of getting admission for other state students. The only way left for students of other states to join in Kerala Agriculture Colleges is by qualifying in the ICAR AIEEA entrance exam. The admission to B.Sc.Hon.(Ag.) course in Kerala is based on the rank secured by the candidate in the Kerala Engineering and Medical Entrance Examination (KEAM) conducted by the Commissionerate of Entrance Examinations, Govt. of Kerala. The allotment is made through a Single Window System of the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP).
hope this helps you.
thank you :)
