Each and every MBA aspirant would like to know which B-school offers the best placements and also the salary offered before choosing a college. Almost all the top MBA colleges display this information on their websites. However, some of the B-schools that don’t fall within the top 100 sometimes give information in such a manner that an MBA aspirant may end up believing some statistics doctored to paint a rosy picture about the college.

All approved B-schools are mandated to submit data to the regulatory agencies like AICTE or the UGC. Average or median salary: The median salary reflects the quality of placements. Percentage of class placed: A college may just have a fraction of its student placed to show a high average salary. Hence, it is important to understand the class size and how many have been placed.
