There are many State Engineering Entrance Examinations like MHTCET, WBJEE, UPSEE, GUJCET, EAMCET, TANCET but in most cases, nearly 85-100% seats in State Government Colleges are reserved for Students having Domicile. For All India Quota and Private College Seats under State Counselling, most of the Universities be it in West Bengal or Maharashtra accept JEE Main Score besides State entrance exam.
Hence, you are first advised to give JEE Main followed by Entrance Exam of your State, or if JEE Main Score is accepted you may apply for state counselling with JEE Main Score.
Followed by some of the Good Entrance Examinations like WBJEE or MHTCET as well as COMEDK, BITSAT, VITEEE and so on.
