JMI has an entrance test for almost all the courses. The entrance test at the undergraduate level is not very difficult. The test comprises of general science, it has a lot of weightage. The test also has 10th level of Mathematics.

The test is divided into

1. Language Skills

2. General Awareness

3. Reasoning

4. Social Awareness

You can get previous year’s question paper by visiting the Makhtaba University Book Store near Indian Bank, JMI, New Delhi.

For the entrance exam, you do not need to buy any specific book to study from. You should focus upon basic knowledge of general subjects. You can go through once from the NCERT psychology notebook and also from the Manorma. Read the newspaper daily, including the Editorial Section, this would help you in both sharpening your English skills as well as your knowledge of current affairs.

If you want to buy any book, then buy any general book of logical reasoning and comprehension. Such books would help you in improving your reasoning abilities and grammatical knowledge as well. Also, you can do a crash course on Psychology (if you haven’t done Psychology in your 12th grade). Two areas of utmost importance are psychology and general awareness. You can also watch the crash course on Psychology available on Youtube (free of cost).

Attempt with proper focus so that you do not have to necessarily go through the sheet at the end
