Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering/ IT

Just visit Youtube, and type "how to get started with a computer". You'll find plenty of options from there.

I'm assuming you already know how to surf the internet, so you already know something to begin with. Other than that, most of the applications like MS-Powerpoint, Excel, are purpose driven softwares, and if you just go into learning them without any intent, you'll forget what you learn fast.

Your best option is to use the computer as you need, instead of learning things redundantly.

First of all, I would suggest you to focus on your syllabus and if you have some leisure time then you can utilise it by joining computer classes as you can join 3 or 6 months basic computer course nearby your place as there are many institutes availble now a days. This will give you knowledge of -

MS-Office

MS-DOS

MS-Windows

HTML

Internet

Hardware maintenance

Netwroking etc.
