Here are some key strategies for getting score in KCET-
Keep your relatives at bay. Yes, they are the biggest hindrance to effective preparation. They are always ready to deliver a long diatribe about their XYZ acquaintance who failed after so many dedicated attempts. Always prefer people who can push you up during tough times.
Keep your preparation an utter secret. When they say, let your success make the noise, they are bang on with this. My father says that revealing your goals wastes a lot of energy and therefore, your preparation should be done behind the curtains. Yes, a few close friends and parents should be aware about this.
Be disciplined. The key to effective preparation is discipline and the key to discipline is not a systematic schedule or time table, the key is self-restraint. When you learn to resist yourself from distractions, everything falls into place.
Enjoy the preparation. In whatever you do, you should enjoy the same and not treat it as a burden. The preparation phase is buffeted with challenges and you should focus on overcoming them gradually. Find your own purpose of enjoying the preparation, for me it was about overcoming the challenges.
Be patient. Not getting the time to study, not scoring good marks in mocks, making silly mistakes, not feeling any improvement. Just relax, don’t hustle and flow with the heat of the moment. Deposit a little bit of patience into your pockets and move ahead.
Keep few activities in stock for daily study. This is the most effecient technique that I have found helpful when I could not dedicate full day towards my preparation. I would read newspaper, scroll through some GA stuff, solve some quizzes during free time and kept my confidence level intact. In nutshell, always have few activities which you can do daily irrespective of your busy schedule.
Eat that frog. This ain’t a secret anymore. Do the toughest task early in the day when your mind is fresh and energy level is high. As simple as that.
Have some time off. You need not to think about your preparation all the time. Cricketers don’t think about the game everytime, about what is going right and wrong. They spend their time off doing some other activities. You should also spend some time off your preparation to bounce back refreshingly.
Plan well. Don’t just think and ponder which topic to pick. Plan your day well in advance. Effective preparation=effective planning.
Hello Manju Badagi. Thanks for contacting Careers360 and we hope we will be able to answer your query.
First of all, note that KCET is not a difficult exam. I would advice you to start preparing seriously for your JEE Mains. The syllabus for JEE Mains is the NCERT / CBSE topics of class 11 and 12.
So, throughly read your NCERT textbooks. It will also seriously help to prepare from Arihant's 16 years previous question papers.
Also, please see this Quora question for more information:
