Hey Bhavya sree.

Clat is divided in 5 sections and gk is the most scoring portion among them all. To crack Clat you really need strong hold over gk. It is the only section which can be completed in maximum of 8-10 mins.

So you really need to prepare gk well.

Further, gk is broadly divided in two parts-

  • Static Gk
  • Current Gk
See, if you have joined any coaching classes, then my suggestion would be, that you should thoroughly complete all the gk related material and notes provided to you by your teachers. I was also a law aspirant and took clat, and this I tell from my personal experience, that coaching material helps you with basics and creates a really strong base.

Secondly, there are two important books in context to static gk namely pearson and lucent. Go for anyone of them.

Coming to current gk section,

Read newspapers daily, like Hindu or Indian Express (Don't go for Times of India). Follow any online daily gk portal. And you can subscribe to monthly 'Competition in focus' magazine or the combined compendium.

This will be enough in regard to general knowledge section.
