Hi Harshil

HCV is a good book but you have to read the whole book in order to understand physics though if read properly it clear your concepts nicely . The books have different sections at the end of each chapter which should be solved from the first question to the last and not randomly but still you will need other books for numericals practice

In case of DC Pandey: You cannot depend on this book for theory so you should first read your teachers notes to understand the theory and concept . And then use DC pandey for solving all kinds of questions . Basically its a book with hell lot of questions

Best Wishes
