Greetings to you,
I have listed below the best books for preparation of both JEE Mains and JEE Advanced:
1) Objective Mathematics by RD Sharma
2) Advanced Problems in Mathematics by Vikas Gupta and Pankaj Joshi
Cengage and McGraw Hill are good books as well but I will suggest you to for the above two books because they are strictly based on JEE syllabus and standards.
Good luck.
Hello dear I will suggest you RD Sharma as it will boost your confidence and as you are talking about JEE MAINS only so also for CBSE board this book will be very helpful. But,it is must that you will solve the book completely. Also Mc GRAw a known book but it has some advanced level questions. So,you can try it also if you are hard working and have enough time.
Thanks.
As you are preparing for Jee mains ,So I would say
CENGAGE series because in this book each and every question is unique so it will save your time because it's every question is unique so you don't need to solve repeated questions again and again and the method given in this book is also less time consuming and user oriented so that you can easily solve the questions
On the other hand if we talk about RD Sharma then it's bulky book having a large no of same repeated questions and it's also time consuming so if you want to gain marks in jee mains in less time then you muat go with CENGAGE
Hope it helps
IIT maths is easy ...People have hyped it
up...Well thats a different story.. Coming to
your point i would suggest you to start with
most easiest book of maths.. Like your own
cbse/Isc or any other book.. You have to know
the theory of chapters amd you have to learn
the application of the concepts.. which you
can do in these books..Learning part is the
most important here...Start with a very easy
sum.. and go one by one.. but make sure you
spend a good time in studying the theory and
concepts.. and try to complete your own
board level book... If you get time.. after..
that..coz if u do this much.. u can bring 50%
marks in IIT maths section... but as we are
talking about a race so buddy you have to
boost your concepts to a higher level...Buy
arihant mathematics book for boosting up
your speed and your level of preparation..For
integration u can do it from Amit Agarwal
... Remember RD sharma 11-12 class is a
must... then only move to these... And solve
last years papers.. at the end.. It will give u an idea about the concepts.
Hope it helps
RD Sharma is one of the favorite books for class 11th and 12th preparation. But it consists of too many extra topics and questions, completing it will take time and a lot of patience even if done smartly. But, since you only have 6 months for preparation, I would recommend going through important questions and topics in Cengage. McGrawHill has too much information and is not useful for quick preparation. I would also additionally recommend A. Das Gupta MCQ Mathematics.
