First of all, try to look at the previous years question papers to get to know about the level of questions that will be asked and pattern of questions. Try to practice these thoroughly and accurately.
By sciences, if you mean Political sciences, then the following books are to be followed in order to crack the entrance-
Political theory by O.P Gauba
Public Administration by Laxmikant
Comparative by JC Johari.
