Hi Rahul,

From my point of view one branch in India is going to have a scope, and thai is CIVIL. Because in India overall growth of the structure and all hasn't been upto the level what it has been in western countries. So after some time, what I term is the STRUC REVOLUTION is going to come, by it I mean there will be enormous change in building technology, new style and variety of buildings will be made and all.

And another thing is that branch like Computer and Mechanical will always be in demand.

Hope u liked the answer and best of luck for ahead :-)

Hello Rahul,

I am very happy that you have asked this question so early, because you pretty much time to decide.

So look first thing that you should remember before choosing any branch is the interest. For example , if your having interest in physics and maths then you should go for mechanical engineering as it is a evergreen branch. If you don't like physics but do have interest in programimg then you should choose CSE or IT.

I telling you this because whatever the high scope of branch you are opting, if you don't have passion to learn about it,then you are going to be a bad engineer. In the end you will always regret it. So first thing first choose what you like.

Now coming to scope of different branches Mechanical engineering , as I said scope is always high. But remember company only selects the best. CSE and IT is also in boom, as you know our life is completely bounded by gadzets, so demand of CASE and IT is also increasing.similar for electrical and electronics.

But one branch which is going to get a increasing boom is , I feel robotics and mechatronics.

Robotic and automation sector is currently in infant stage but in future it's going to do a lot of impact.

Look chemical engineering is a more of a core branch. With this you can even join petroleum industry. This will keep your future scope more broader. However getting placement in this is quite slow.you will get it, but it will take time.
However if you join petroleum engineering from a good college, you will get placement instantly. But  after this it might be difficult for you change your career afterwards.

Hello,

That depends on many factors.Nowadays IT SECTOR is on top with very high placement opportunities for CSE/IT/ECE branches and that's why people prefers to go for CSE/IT/ECE branches.

While M.E/CIVIL/EE are the evergreen branches with jobs in public as well as private sectors.

So each and every branch has scope in the future. It depends on your interest to choose a particular branch.

Good luck.
