which branch I select in btech if I want to go for higher study qualifying Gate or prepare for civil exams then which branch is good for me.

Hello aspirant,
Neither yours not any other branch restricts a person from persuing higher education , weather be it GATE or civil services exams like UPSE.
The course for GATE is different for different branches and you need to prepare separately for civil services examinations.

Hello dear student
Actually all branches allow for gate or UPSC examination .
But if you want to job in public sector (psu)
Than you must choose core branch Like electrical engineering or EEE , mechanical engineering , civil engineering.
Becouse in gate examination the scope is good compare than IT or CSE , The scope of IT or CSE is good in private sector compare than public sector so very less scope in gate examination.
