CSE is always best but other cse allied branch is also good and students from all branches seat in the same campus placement.

Both the branches which you have displayed in your query are one among the good branches in the engineering at KIIT. See here the difference in both the branches is about the only the syllabus pattern and if you compare among both of these then it will be like CSE will be better including all the parameters like placements,.scope etc. So in my point of view you should go with the option CSE that might be the best .

Computer Science and Engineering in KIIT is the same course that is provided in other institutes and deals with operating systems, computer networks, digital logic, database management systems, system programming etc being the core subjects. The course Computer Science and System Engineering deals with components that are itself used in a computer like microprocessor, microcontrollers, Vlsi design, advanced microprocessor etc. CSSE is somewhat the combination of Computer science and electronics ( only the sytem design part). If you are interested in only CS then go for it. If electronics fascinates you along with CS then opt CSSE.
