Both the branches are awesome in nit trichy both the branches has great placement records and to choose among these branches its all depends on your interest like are you interested in electronics part or in mechanical and electrical part as instrumentation control is a subpart to mechanical with electrical instruments.
You can definitely choose any one of them both the branches has great scope in future .

Electronics and communication engineering is much better than intrumentation control in NIT tiruchirapalli. If you get electronics and communication engineering in NIT tiruchirapalli then never opt for intrumantation control in NIT tiruchirapalli.
