which branch is better for B .tech cse ,ECE,or eee and where is better to study in Bengaluru or in Visakhapatnam
Hi Hàßwåňțh,
The thing with technology like every other thing in life is change. For instance if you consider the 90’s there was boom in the Mechanical engineering field, even today there is a following and craze for the stream but it is not what it used to be back in the 90’s. The thing which you need to realize is that today is the modern era the Digital era and all the three branches that you have mentioned are major contributing factors in this.
Coming to first part your question regarding the superior branch among CSE, EC, EEE. There is no perfect answer to the question. The branch anyone recommends is based on his/her perception of the world and how they see the future. One more important factor while opting for any of the above mentioned branches is, what are you expecting out of the branch? What is it that you desire to do once you have completed your graduation?
There are many types of individual who pursue engineering. Some individual just want to get a job and earn their living while other are interested and curious about their stream and want to learn and contribute to that particular field. So, to help you choose which branch you want to pursue your engineering, I will recommend that you take a close look at you academics and see the field which you are good with and what are your areas of interest. Once you do that the choice will become much simple. There is no substitute for passion and curiosity, if you are curious you will definitely perform good during your engineering and ‘a good engineer is always in demand’. But if you are confused and don’t know which branch to choose and you want to play it safe and have more job opportunity in more fields ; then I would recommend you to go for EC branch, as per engineering syllabus you are taught programming and universities have a subject Design and Analysis of Algorithms (DAA) as an optional subject in EC branch which is a fundamental and one of the most important subject for getting a job in any IT company. So going for EC branch and opting for DAA will let you have major job opportunity in both the fields. As for EEE branch you can get a job in the core company through GATE or job in any IT MNC. The thing while opting for CSE branch is that CSE graduates don’t have as much job vacancies in the public sector as compared to the other two branches ECE and EEE but it has very high scope in lucrative private sector. As per the trend my personal suggestion for you will be to go for CSE if you are confused, this sector has much future scope with the DIGITAL INDIA campaign.
Coming to the Second part of your Question about the colleges, One thing that you need to understand is that the engineering syllabus that the college teach is not in sync with the modern technologies being used. However the colleges are trying their best to cope up with the technical advancement but are still struggling. So what makes a college good is its Faculty and that is something you can only know by joining the college and not searching on the internet. However, I can assure you that joining a well reputed college will increase your chances of landing up with good faculty. Now the most important factor in choosing a college is the placement. Because I am an engineer myself and I know that an engineer can study his syllabus on his own if he has some difficulties catching up with faculty but you need to have an opportunity to showcase what you have learnt and where you stand. To do so you need to be in a college that provides decent placement for your stream.
Following is the list of Top 5 Engineering Colleges in Bangalore based on placement:
1) Indian Institute of Science (IISC) : Average package 18 lpa (as per data 2014-2016)
2) R.V College of Engineering (RVCE): Average package 8.63 lpa
3) Jain University (JU) :Average package 4.5 lpa
Following is the list OF Top 3 Engineering Colleges in Visakhapatnam based on placement:
1) Andhra University College of Engineering and Research (AUCE): Average package 3-4 lpa
2) Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology & Sciences (ANITS) : Average package 3.25 lpa
3) Gitam Institute of Technology (GIT) :Average package 3 lpa
Now these college websites may show packages as high as 1 crore and 2 crore but the key thing to keep in mind is that the students who have scored these packages are very few
In the end, I don’t think that college is a bottleneck if you are really good in what you do.
Hope that answered your query. For any further query please lets us know.
Good Luck !!!
