Both branches are very good in their own way.studying EEE brach is tough than ECE when compared.EEE requries a avast knowledge.

It depends on the field of engineering you are most interested in. It always comes down to one's personal preference.

EEE involves real core electrical circuit and heavy machinery work .It involves a lot of theoretical concepts,real hard work and long hours.

ECE on the other means u have to deal with circuit meachanisms and transistors and millions of wiring.

Placement wise both the branches are good. It also depends on the college you opt. You need to check the placement statistics before you join that college.
