If you go for admission in Calcutta University, then better give preference to CSE branch. Placement facilities are good. Now around 60% students from CSE are getting On Campus Job. Also, CSE has slightly good placement facilities in India. Hence I guess rather than choosing any other branches in Calcutta University, you could go on with CSE branch.

Cu is a reowned University and its degree matters a lot. Standing in job interviews with graduation certificate of CU will matter a lot. If interviewer had to do selection, atkeast they will never eliminate CU degree holders. CU is one of the very old universities.



Go for CSE. Previously Placement was not very good. But now around 60% people from CSE get On Campus Job.



CSE has a strong Alumni Network which might be useful. And CSE’s Dept. Reunion “Reflexons” is best in the Campus.



A number of research volumes have been published by the Department under the three phases of the Departmental Special Assistance Programme. National Seminars and Conferences on contemporary issues, too, have been held periodically every year since 1987
