Salary depends upon experience and the minimum salary will starting from 3.2 lpa to 4 lpa as fresher you will get but it will also vary .If we analysis then now days placements is little bit low as compere to other branches beause only core companies are hiring and they are not hiring in bulk amount so both of the course holding similar .

Hey there!
Let's look at facts and that would help you make a choice. Starting off with instrument control engineering , with an average pakage of 6 LPA and highest package of 26 LPA in the branch of instrument control, the placements are quite good as 100% were placed. This is based on some previous years information. Now, coming to production engineering with about 92% placement and an average salary of about 14 LPA and highest salary of 17 LPA. You can make your decision based on this information but however it's subjected to vary. I'd recommend you go for production engineering because the average salary and internships are slightly better over there but then the final decision is obviously yours.
