Hello Aspirant, It totally depends upon you that which field you are interested in, all the branches of Engineering have good scope but your interest matters here much.

EIE - Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering is a specialised branch of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, primarily focussing on the principles and operations of measuring instruments used in the design and configuration of automated systems. Instrumentation technology helps create, construct and maintain measuring and control devices and systems found in manufacturing plants and research institutions.

EE - It means Electrical Engineering. Electrical Engineering is that branch of Engineering which deals with the study of application of electricity, electronics and electromagnetism. Trained electrical engineers design electric circuits and equipment. They work on large power plants as well in small hardware companies which includes designing, manufacturing and operating power plants, industrial machinery, electrical motors, computer chips and ignition systems for automobiles, aircrafts, space crafts and all kinds of engines.

Dear Aspirant,

Both of these branches are almost equal in terms of both placements and difficulty. There is some difference in the syllabus in Instrumentation part of  the EIE engineering which makes it more balanced for industry however, recruiters do not count this difference and of the branches get the same offers.

However, the only major difference is that EIE is not popular as EE is, that may not affect much. So if you have a choice, go for EIE as the competition is less.

Hope this helps. Thank you.
