Hello, both branches are good but if we see them in terms of placements I would recommend you to go with electronic instrumation branch.
Because it is concerned about electronics , electrical field and there is a good scope of these branches in the industry.
But this also  depends on which college you are if you are getting top colleges then your placement can be higher otherwise you have to work hard .
If you are getting Civil Engineering in a good college which is higher rank then the college in which you are getting electronic instrumation I would recommend you to go with civil engineering in that case.

Well, which branch you take you have to study hard for your subjects in B Tech and also you should learn languages like Python, Java, C++ so that it will increase your problem solving skills and thus it will improve your coding skills and you can also get placed in computer science engineering company because many companies allow other branches students for their placement.

Hope this will help you.

Hello,

There are two aspects. You can do technical work irrespective of your branch through mass recruitment. initial salary will be 3-4 lpa. if you learn skill then you can get upto 6-7lpa  too.

If you want domain based work which has projects related to your branch then you have to be good at skills. for EIE:- VLSI, embedded system, coding, database, power systems. GRID. you have to skill them.

In civil engineering, you can get industrial work, managerial work and government work too. it depends which path you choose to get a job. Better path will be MTech from IIT or NIT and get best job offer with any gap years in between.

In terms of future scope, both have equal scope but in different field and organization. if you work well and show case your skills then your salary will increase over years.

Hope it helps!

Dear Aspirant,

First of all its totally depends on your interest, what you want to pursue in your career is the most important,But if you want to compare these two branches according to future scope.

Than according to me Electronics and communication branch have more future scope than Civil, Because Electronics industry is increasing day by a day with high demands of mobile/ laptops etc. and of course communication is the most important and highly increasing for example demand of internet 4G/5G .... And more coming..

So Most important thing is to go with your interest but if you don't able to decide where to go, Than I'll recommend you to go with Electronics.

Good Luck!!

Hope it helps!!
