it is depend on that which company hires you  , the repo ad post of teh company decided the slary, and in both of the courses there is good salry package one can get. it is just the matter of hard work.

It all depends on your area of interest,never choose any field depending on the package choose on the basis of interest ,so you can do well and excel.Both the courses have its own advantage and disadvantage.

ECE is about electronics and how the different electrical components (Microprocessor, RAM etc) communicate with each other. It has more Physics in it. There is a little programming involved but not much.

CSE on the other hand deals with telling these components what to do and when to do it; by programming them. It has a lot of logic involved and Maths too.

ECE has more scope in government bodies than CSE and the scope of CSE in private sectors is good.

The packages for both are good depends on which organisation you get placed in.Example an IIT graduate from computer science branch will can expect any thing between 40-50 lakhs per year,same is the case with ECE.Aso pay package will depend on your skill,experience,knowledge.
