According to me, branch selection must be dependent on your interest and if talking in terms of salary each and every branch is good and has n number of opportunities.

And I suggest you should go for M tech in computer science only as you have done B tech in the same.

This answer can't be told precisely! Since all the branches have pretty well lucrative packages. But yes you can say that computer science and IT has major scope in India. But if you would go outside India, you will find plenty of opportunities there as well. So, one thing is for sure, if you will work hard on your stream/field, you surely would get a lucrative package.

You cannot define branches of engineering on the bases of salary. the salary of an individual solely depends upon himself, mind it the college only provides you the degree, not the skills to live your life. there are many students who won't able to earn much even though hey did their graduation from CS and there are cases where individuals are earning in lakhs even with a mechanical branch ( which itself is the toughest branch)

If you really want to earn in lakhs or crores kindly pursue the stream of your likes because if you like what you do then only you can earn what you wanted. In today's world biotechnology is so budding that it promises you a great career ahead ONLY if you have interest in living science.

As far as your question is concerned after CS pupil with IT and ECE gets a good offer but that doesn't mean other don't.
