Hello,
To apply for UPSC, you must have a bachelor's degree in any field, however engineering is a good pick for IAS aspirants, and you must be at least 21 years old. To become an IAS officer, you must pass the Civil Service Exam.
You just need to concentrate on your upsc examinations in order to get picked for civil services and other positions such as ias, ips, and so on. You can pursue engineering in any branch that interests you, as it will have no bearing on your upsc. So choose a branch that you believe you will find easy to learn and is beneficial to you.
In comparison to other fields such as computers or mechanical engineering, ECE or civil engineering requires less study(though there is enough). But, in the end, it is up to you to decide which branch is the best fit for you, so choose wisely and prepare for your UPSC.
Hope it helped
Thank you
