Choosing branch depends on what is your interest or your needs if you want to go for the high package then consider this data regarding placements-

Highest package at NITK 65 Lakhs/annum  Microsoft 10 from CS against 10.5 lakhs from TI in EC.

More than 60% of CS class are placed in companies with package more than 7 lakhs/annum.

25% of the class with more than 10 lakhs/annum against 10% in EC.

Avg salary for entire branch discarding mass recruiters and not considering overseas placement
ECE 7.7L
CS 9.8L
IT 7.1L

Its apparently clear that CS has better package than EC. Rest you can choose what interest you have.
