Indian Naval Academy is a training establishment based in Ezhimala, Kerala. This institute being the largest naval Academy in Asia provides initial officer training to naval cadets admitted through the UPSC entry NDA (NA) exam and 10+2 BTech entry. The period of initial training is of 4 years. Upon graduation the cadets are given a Bachelor Of Technology (BTech.) degree. Also, cadets of Short Service Commission (SSC) entry are given training here and the training period for direct entry is of 22 weeks.
On the other hand, the Indian Navy is the naval branch of the Indian Armed Forces. The primary objective of the Navy is to protect the nation's maritime border.
