Amphibians are those organisms that live on both land and water and thus they can't be classified as either terrestrial or aquatic organisms.
Bryophytes are called the amphibians of plant kingdom as they require both land and water for survival.They are the most primitive organisms of kingdom Plantae.
Though they live in the soil,they require water for sexual reproduction.The sperm of bryophytes (antherzoids) are flagellate and need water to swim towards the egg.In simple words,as these plants require water for reproduction they are hence termed as amphibians of the plant kingdom.
