Both are top college.NITs is government college.It is better than BITS Pilani.The grading system is also better in NITs as compared to BITS.You can score better CGPA in NITs if you put some efforts.

Fee is lower in NITs because it is run by government.

And it is up to you to choose based on your economic status and marks.

If you ask me, I would say the Top 5 NIT's are better as compared to BITS Pilani.

The reason I say that is because IIT is a government college whereas BITS is a private college. So, inevitably, the fees of BITS is astronomical as compared to IIT's.

And, also, if you see their rankings, IIT's are placed above BITS.

Placements are similar.
