Bharath University, Chennai is Deemed to be type of university which is privately owned whereas Sri Venkateshwara University, Tirupati is a State University which partially owned by Government and partially by Private.

In 2018 the highest package offered for the Bharath University B.tech students were of 27 lakhs per annum and the average package was of 2.5 lakhs per annum.

Whereas for Sri Venkateshwara University average packages offered were around 3.5 lakhs per annum. This university has a placement record of 50%.
