Both NITs have excellent placement rates; about 90% of students were placed in both institutions. However, NIT Silchar has superior facilities compared to NIT Patna. Overall in my opinion, NIT Silchar is beeter than NIT Patna and it is also established earlier than NIT Patna.

• Faculty & Research: Decent research opportunities.
• Infrastructure: Limited campus area but improving

NIT Silchar :-

• Ranking: Often ranks higher nationally.
• Placement: Average package ~Rs. 7-8 LPA.
• Campus & Facilities: Larger campus, better hostels.
• Research: More projects, good faculty

If location matters, choose NIT Patna . Otherwise, NIT Silchar is better overall.
