which college is better iiest shibpur electrical or nit patna electrical
Hi,
Among the two options that you have, I would suggest that you go for IIEST Shibpur since it is actually among the top 20 engineering colleges in the whole country. The faculty , infrastructure, research opportunities and placements are better when compared to NIT Patna. Though choosing an NIT would be a brand value, but Patna NIT is not too great. It is also a decent choice though.
All the best! Choose wisely depending on your priorities.
Hey Aspirant,
Placements of IIEST Shibpur for Electrical Engineering
The placements have been good with the companies like Microsoft, Maruti Suzuki, L&T, TATA STEEL, Samsung R&D, Mu Sigma and much more companies giving the jobs. The new training and placement cell is formed this year through which the placements will increase on the campus
Placements of NIT Patna for Electrical Engineering
The placement is good on the campus, but poor for an electrical engineer. This year, the placements are marvellous. Core branches also got a benefit as about 75% students have got their jobs. CS, IT, and ECE have almost 90% placement. Many new companies have visited the campus this year. Each of them has selected a good amount of students as for their requirement.
Both of the colleges are very good colleges for engineering. Both the colleges are well renounced in India. The IIEST Shibpur is really a very good college and the department of Electrical engineering is considered to be the best branch of this colleges. The faculties are highly qualified and placement is also very good. Many core companies are visiting and students have good chances in non core companies too. NIT Patna is also a very good college. The faculties and course curriculum is very good. However the placement for Electrical branch is not much impressive. So you can go for IIEST Shibpur in my opinion. Hope this helps.
Thank you.
Hello,
IIEST shibpur is ranked significantly more better than nit patna.
IIEST shibpur has a edge over nit patna over these aspects -
- Much larger amount of research projects
- More faculty with phd
- Very descent placements of about 6 lakhs per year
- Far better consultancy projects
- Highly specialised labs and research centres like SAIF, CEGESS etc
- No ragging, free wi fi
- More prominent infrastructure.
IIEST is more better choice to go with.
Hope this helped.
Good luck
