First of all I want to say both the colleges are good according to their different specialisation and qualities, but talking about package, both the colleges are different from each other. According to my sources, I am up here with some of the following data.
Techno India Saltlake:
The placement in the college is quite good for IT students as a lot of IT companies come for placements, TCS being the major mass recruiter. Other companies include Amazon, Microsoft and many others. So if you are talented, you can get a good placement in any of these, although for the core branches, the core companies are quite limited and the ones which come take only a few students, so there is a very strong competition. The average package of the college lies around 4.0 lakhs per annum but you can get more or less package depending on your talent and other factors. The lowest package being offered to the last year batch was 3.2 lakhs per annum and the highest was 10 lakhs per annum by Microsoft. Overall, the placement percentage of students was around 85%.

I.E.M. Kolkata:
Placement is good. Around 80% of the students get placement. But in mass recruiting company in TCS, Wipro, Infosys. The company in core branch are very less. A package is also not good 3- 3.5 lakhs p.a. Very few around 20 - 30 students got 6 to 12 lakhs pa. Around 1-2 student got 15 lakhs pa. Total no of student is around 800. This is the best part of this college. At the end of 4 years, you want to have a job. The college invites a lot of companies and nearly every eligible student got placed.

So, according to my data it is pretty clear that both the colleges have good scope in terms of placements. But, talking about highest package I.E.M, Kolkata is over the other. Overall, both the colleges have avg package rating of 10-15 lakhs.
