Hello Aspirant
All these colleges are in Bangalore and these colleges are considered one of the best colleges for engineering, excluding the IITs.
RV College of Engineering is a private institute and is recognized as Centre of Excellence under Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP) by Government of India. It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University(VTU), Belagavi. The college offers bachelors and masters in various fields of engineering. The exams accepted by the college are KCET, COMEDK, UGET, GATE. It has the course BE in Mechanical Engineering.
BMS ( Bhusanayana Mukundadas Sreenivasaiah) College of Engineering is an autonomous institution. It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University(VTU), Belagavi. This is one of the oldest engineering colleges in India and has a very strong and large student base. The Department of Mechanical Engineering, along with some other departments, have been accredited by National Board of Accreditation(NBA) as TIER-1. The exams accepted by the college are KCET, COMEDK, UGET, GATE. It also has the course BE in Mechanical Engineering.
PES University is a private university. It is not just focused upon engineering; it has other core areas also such as life sciences, management, and medicine. Both undergraduate and postgraduate courses are available. The exams accepted by the university are KCET, UGET, GATE, COMEDK, PESSAT. It has the course B.tech in Mechanical Engineering.
All the three institutions have a decent infrastructure, inclusive of hostel, gym, library and more. These facilities are equally good in all three of them.
PES has the most expensive courses , almost as double the cost as RV and BMS. This is probably due to the university status of the institution and the facilities provided by them.
The number of seats available is more in PES as compared to the other two. Thus, one has a higher chance of getting admission in PES.
In a comparison of the three institutions, the highest packages have been of PES (going up to 24 lacs). The average package of PES is around 7 lacs whereas the average package of RV and BMS is around 5-6 lacs.
On the basis of curriculum, faculty, and infrastructure, RV College is considered best as it has always been rated highly (AAAA+) and has achieved high ranks in India Today and other magazines.
There are many factors to be considered when you choose an institution. It is up to you to decide which factor is more important for you and then you should compare that factor in all the three colleges.
These three institutions are good and will provide you with many opportunities. If you combine the facilities of the institution with hard work and enthusiasm, you will definitely be successful.
