NIT Silchar is one of the most reputed institutions started in 1967. It is also one of the oldest engineering institutions and has a lot of reputations under it.  It has also been ranked 53 in 2017 by NIRF and 10 by India Today under the list of top government Universities.

It also has been selected under TEQIP and thus, undoubtedly will  give many boundless opportunities to its students to develop themselves . They will get chances to develop their ideas on real live projects all financed by the government of India. With such opportunities,it is no doubt that NIT Silchar has some of the best placements. Their placement statistics showed that the highest salary for 2016 to 2017 for  bachelor of technology was 17 lakh while that for Master of technology was 5.5 lakh. The average package for master of technology was 4.5 lakhs . This shows that there is good placement for Mtech in NIT Silchar. It has also many of the core companies visiting the institute for placements.

Whereas when it  comes to IIIT Jabalpur ,the placements for both bTech and Mtech are mostly average as this institution is fairly a young institute. Very little core companies come for placements in the college.

Hence, considering these two institutes and their statistics  ,it is obviously that NIT Silchar is doing much better in terms of placements for both BTech and Mtech.  So ,I would suggest NIT Silchar when it comes to placements for M.Tech .I hope these facts are helpful to you.

According to me ,cse @ IIITDMJ is better choice as compared to Nits





First ,let's look at the similarities



1. Both the institutions are INI so both will get similar support from government of india .



2. Both have own campus so no problem there too



3.both institutes have a vast alumini network. We have alumni working at great positions in Silicon Valley ,many of them are doing research work in universities in USA and EUROPE



Now why cse @ IIITDMJ is better :-

• Location :-jabalpur is situated in central india Vs silchar in north -east so it is easily and cheaply accessible from most part of our country and believe me you don't want to spend four days of your holidays commuting unless you pay a premium airface or live a eastern parts of our country
• Even through both the institutions are INI  but IIITDMJ have Japanese collaboration, which results in lectures by Japanese faculty .many internships are providing from Japan by this.
• We have many technical, cultural and sports clubs consulting the student gymkhana so you can pursue your passion as well get opportunity to learn and develop .from cse perspective we have a very active programming ,web designing club so you can pick up important skills in cse domain
• Now about the placements ,be sure that your a average student then you can get a decent package and if your an above average student then..... Well you will get higher you have bright future ahead then our average package is around 11-13 LPA
• Even after this still you don't believe me ,you can check the previous year close rank compared to iitdmj with nits in every category
