Both of the colleges hold good reputation. Both of them are of good substance. AMC MET Medical College is a medical college in Maninagar, Ahmedabad. The college was established in 2009 and is maintained by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation's Medical Education Trust. It is affiliated to the Gujarat University and the Seth L.G. hospital.

And the other one Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education and Research is a medical college and teaching hospital in Surat, Gujarat, India, which is the fourth-fastest-growing city in the world. It was established in 2000 and has been affiliated to the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University.

AMCMET Medical College. Except no one ever calls it that. For everyone in Ahmedabad, it's LG Hospital. It's an eight year old self financed college. The faculty, bar one or two is pathetic. It's all self-study. But that's true for every medical college in Gujarat. The canteen is unhygienic, so is the hospital. The library is poorly managed, as is the hostel. All that aside, the volume of patients you will see is pretty good. There's a lot of pathology but you end up referring the more complicated ones to bigger tertiary centres since LG Hospital doesn't handle neurosurgery cases and stuff like that.
