If you are a student who belongs to a GENERAL CATEGORY plus if you don't have the domicile of West Bengal state, at a rank of 2800, it will be difficult to get Computer Science And Engineering in government colleges in West Bengal.

However, you can go for colleges like HIT, Techno India at your given rank for CSE department. All the best.

The best colleges for CSE would be iem Kolkata the cutoff last year was 500-2500 . You never know you might get into since the cutoffs vary every year.

For IT in IEM the cutoff is 2000-5000 , you can apply for it as IT and CSE are comparable to one another

Other than these do try Kalyani university, ee, ECE they are good.

For CSE you will easily get heritage , techno also.

With a ranking of 2800 in wbjee, there are a few options for CSE branch.

If your choice is government college and you have west bengal domicile then Kalyani Government is best option. But if you want private college then Institute of engineering and management and Heritage institute of technology would be the best option. With a good ranking, it ultimately comes down to personal opinion.
