After completing your diploma degree you are able to get admission to Engineering Colleges through the lateral entry scheme.Lateral Entry Scheme is available at Universities and Colleges for students completing 3 year diploma course or B.Sc degree or Equivalent examination with at least 50 percentage marks.Colleges reserve some seats for lateral entry students.The percentage of reservation for lateral entry student differ from college to college between 10 to 20 percentage of total available seats in the college.
You have to choose best college based on your core branch you have taken.Almost all Engineering Colleges do lateral entry scheme admission.But you cant able to get admission in IIT or NIT they don't accept lateral entry scheme.Check the Eligibility criteria of B.Tech lateral entry students before you applying to the college,because colleges differ in admission criteria norms.B
