Hey there, Muskan. If you have not taken Maths in Class 12th, then you will have very less options to follow up. First of all, you need to know that in some colleges Maths is made mandaratory for courses, like in DU, you will be unable to take admission in B.com if you haven't taken Maths in 12th.

But the most suitable courses for Students pursuing Commerce without Maths are:

1. Bachelor of Arts in Specialised Fields:

You may take admission in Bachelor of Arts in Specialised fields with better scopes like B.A. in Economics or B.A. in Psychology.

-After pursuing B.A. in Economics, you can become a Financial Advisor, Cost Accountant, etc.

-After pursuing B.A. in Psychology, you can become a Counselor, Psychologists, etc.

2. Bachelor of Computer Applications

BCA is a three year undergraduate course especially suitable for those for are looking for making careers directly in the field of IT. This 3 year course is well prepared and designed to make the students experience advance skills in the field of IT. This makes them more updated with the latest technology and corporate requirements and so there are floods of opportunities for them.

But doing a BCA will not assure that you will be getting a better position, you must pursue BCA from few better colleges only who are more considerable on the career of students. Do not try to do BCA from any Mid City Government College. They are more traditional and not much technical. So you will always lack the advance knowledge, practical and skills.

3. Bachelor of Business Administration:

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is a specialised course in Management which deals with studying the core fundamentals of management, international business, organisational behaviour, consumer behaviour, market analysis and other aspects of business like marketing, trading in share market, banking system, government policies and more.

This 3 year under-graduate program was introduced many decades before but the importance of this specialised course increased with the growth and development of Industrialisation in India.

With the emergence of so many businesses, the need of quality manpower also increased which resulted in increasing demand of management courses.

After pursuing this course, you can become a market or business analyst, business expansion head, growth analyst, business exeutive, etc.

Besides this there are many more courses you may opt without maths, but the best one for you will be the top 3 as mentioned above.

If you're looking for some more support, then please mention here. All the best!

Hello aspirant,

Commerce offers a variety of courses all over. Considering that you haven't opted for Math, the only difference that you will encounter is that math students have a slight edge over non math students. The courses you can go for despite these differences are :

1. Company Secretary- This course mainly requires Law, Secretarial Practice, Business Management, Entrepreneurship etc.

2. Chartered Accountancy- It is not compulsory, yet important to have Maths for appearing for CA entrance but if you manage to learn the Maths portion for CPT, you could give it a try.

3. B. Com (Bachelor of Commerce)

4. Law - Law doesn't ask for Maths either. It consists of subjects like Sociology, Political Science, different heads under law basically.

5. English honours

6. Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA): This is basically a degree people pursue before MBA to get a taste of it. In my opinion, it doesn't give you much of a special edge in MBA and uf any, it is limited to only First term, out of six. It's equally hectic for all. (Disclaimer: I haven't done this course. Just speaking from my experience at my B-School).

7. Bachelor of journalism and mass communication (BJMC)

8. Hotel management

9. Prepare for UPSC, IAS etc.

I have just named a few popularly known courses.

All the best.
