Never take engineering as a branch or subject, despite take it as your passion. Ask yourself what you can really prefer or feel. Take that as your mother subject / branch of engineering. If you can choose better following your passion with strong mind setup, you must do better. No matter whether you are average or not.

If you're not able to decide which one to take, there are not much difference in CSE and IT. If you like programming, then you can go with cse. Just think about your strength, passion. What is your point of interest, take that branch.

Hii,

If you want to end up getting a Job opportunity after your BTech graduation , make sure to select CSE stream in Engineering. Now a days Computer Science stream has enough job opportunities. However CSE, IT and ECE have enough opportunities. For a better career in software Field Choose CSE.

Both the group are inter related. An ECE engineer designs the hardware and the CSE engineer give it the software. Your passion determines which course is better for you. Here are few point which I guess would help you determine which course is better for you.

  1. Interest. ECE is about electronic gadgets and communication and CSE is about software development, and coding. Depending upon your interest you can decide.
  2. Subject you are good at. CSE involves mathematics and ECE involves physics. If you are equally interested in both the subjects or you have got no such specifications, then decide the best one based upon the subject you are good at.
  3. Placement & package. A few weeks ago I asked a class 7 kid about his aim. He said he wants to work for Google. So, if you have any such dream to work for a particular MNC, decide the better one based upon the company you want to work for. For example, if you want to work for apple/intel, go for ECE and if you want work for google/Facebook, go for CSE. And finally the package. CSE always offers you the best packages but it's now kind of saturated and there is alot of compitition for the high packages. Coming to ECE, to get a high package, you must be extremely good at applying the knowledge that you have gained in the four years.

Hello student I guess cse and it is good for any average student The major difference between both these field is that IT deals with the application of computing technology to real life processes, while, Computer Science deals with the science that facilitates these applications. On the other hand, IT is just the selection of the proper software or hardware for the task.

Good luck
