Hello Aspirant

First of all, you should understand ‘psychology’, Psychology is going to deal with the mental process, human behavior patterns and also an anatomy of brain. It is basically the scientific study of human mind and behavior. The course and curriculum at the under-graduate are roughly the same across different colleges and even across BA and B. Sc. This does not mean that BA and BSc are the same degrees. There are notable differences across the two.

The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology is a great option:

· For students who have a keen interest in psychology but also want to explore other disciplines in greater depth. For example, you might want to study psychology but also take a lot of courses in an area such as nutrition and health. Such preparation might be perfect for students who are considering specialized psychology fields such as health psychology or forensic psychology.

· Students who choose this degree option can also opt to go later on to further study in law, social work, counseling, education, journalism, political science, and business.

· Students who are more interested towards understanding the subject through theory and practical aspect than through research methodology.

· Students who do not want to take a lot of research load in their graduation degree.

The Bachelor of Science in Psychology offers excellent preparation for:

· Careers in science as well as further graduate study in psychology or related disciplines.

· Students with a strong interest in science can also benefit from this degree options extensive study in biological science and research methodology .

· If you plan to attend graduate school in psychology, you should definitely consider the Bachelor of Science option. This is because psychology is mainly based on research findings and one has to do a compulsory dissertation in Psychology at the graduate level and BSc degrees provide a good backing for that.

Nonetheless, both the degrees will make you eligible for masters in psychology in the future, be it MA or Msc, as most of the master's admissions are done through entrance tests to judge the aptitude of the student.

Best of luck!
