Hey,
You do BPT. You can work as a physiotherapist. You do BPharm. You can work in pharmacy, sales, marketing, manufacturing, quality assurance, analysis, chemical research, formulation development, clinical research, intellectual property rights, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, consulting, project management, government (as drug inspector), etc. A Master’s would be required for a lot of positions. But, I guess most people these days expect an MPT physiotherapist too. The main difference between occupational therapy and physical therapy is that OT focuses on improving a client’s ability to perform activities of daily living (ADL) and PT focuses on improving a client’s ability to perform movement of the human body. Physiotherapy is more renowned and commonly chosen career by students than occupational therapy, however the demand for occupational therapy has increased over a period of time. Occupational therapy scope has widened over the past years, they work with NGO’s, clinics, autistic and other special kids. Physiotherapy is one of the mainstream careers which help you work in your own clinical set up, hospitals, field of sports and residential settings. The starting salary for a physiotherapist is somewhere between 25000–35000 per month The starting salary for a occupational therapist is somewhere 30,000–40,000 per month, it also depends on which sector you choose to work in. Hope this helps.
