Hello,

To obtain a license for handling pesticides and fertilizers, you typically need to complete the following courses:

  • PA1 – Safe Use of Pesticides (Foundation Module): Covers legislation, safety precautions, and proper handling of pesticides.

  • PA6 – Handheld Applicator Training: Focuses on using handheld equipment like knapsack sprayers for pesticide application.

  • PA2 – Boom Sprayer Training: Required if you plan to operate vehicle-mounted or trailed boom sprayers.

  • Diploma in Agriculture : Diploma or graduation in Agriculture would be a plus.

These courses ensure you apply pesticides safely and comply with regulatory requirements. Completion is often mandatory for professional pesticide users.

Hope it helps !

Hello aspirant,

A diploma in agriculture is required in order to obtain a license to use pesticides and fertilizers.
It is explicitly stated that a Bachelor of Agriculture or Diploma in Agriculture degree is required in order to obtain a license for a new fertilizer or pesticide store.

Thank you
