If you are a student of Law or arts or economics, then it becomes easier for you to cover the syllabus for IAS. But it is not necessary that students of these subjects only clears the IAS. If you are a hard working guy then you can crack it either way.

bachelor in public administration/ public policy is a good choice as public administration is the main job of an ias officer. Also bachelors in social science is also good for the ias preparations because it is a combination of the subject which you really need for the exam.
