Well this is a subjective question that you asked. It depends on one's through process and surroundings. For somebody the best course in degree level would be CSE branch, for some it may be core branches (Electrical,Civil,Mechanical) and for others it can be IT. Now, according to me I would say that core branches are better. Now to get into engineering colleges there are some ways through which you can go. You can give the national level entrance exam for engineering that is JEE Main. Also, there are state level entrance exams and some private colleges own entrance tests through which you can get a seat of your choice if you clear the required cutoff.
